Reggae, Ska, and Hip Hop take over Comcast Theatre when Sublime with Rome, Cypress Hill and Pepper take the stage August 19, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.
When the news broke that Sublime’s original singer Bradley Nowell had died, the world mourned the loss of a musician and an icon. Years later, the group reformed with a new singer Rome Ramirez to bring the old classics like “What I Got,” “Santeria,” and “Wrong Way.” The band blends a mix of surf rock, ska and hip hop and has beloved over the years for their party songs and drug culture.
Cypress Hill hails from California, and brings an emotional element of hip-hop to their songs. Cypress Hill was the first Cuban-American/Latino hip hop group to have platinum and multi-platinum albums, selling over 18 million albums worldwide. They are one of the most well-known groups in West Coast rap and Hip Hop, and are critically acclaimed for their first two groundbreaking albums. Also joining the show is reggae and dub greats, Pepper.
