Formed in 1991, Counting Crows was originally an acoustic duo made up of band members Adam Duritz and David Bryson, who played around coffee shops in San Fransisco. Gradually gaining band members Matt Malley, Charlie Gillingham, and Steve Bowman, they adopted the name “Counting Crows,” in reference to their ever-increasing number, now up at 7 with the additions of Ben Mize and Dan Vickrey! Influenced by R.E.M., Mike + The Mechanics, Bob Dylan, and Nirvana, the band saw incredible and enduring success with their first single “Mr Jones,” from the album; “August and Everything After.”
Matchbox Twenty were have their origins in Orlando, Florida, coming together as a band in 1995, comprised of band members Rob Thomas, Kyle Cook, Brian Yale, and Paul Doucette. They saw enormous success with their first album, “Yourself or Someone Like You,” which went multi-platinum in Australia, Canada and New Zealand and was certified platinum a whopping 12 times in the United States!! Over the course of a long and fruitful career, the band are making a much-anticipated return to tour with Counting Crows as a celebration of the band’s history.
