311 & The Dirty Heads have joined forces to embark on a double headliner show they dubbed as their "The Sounds of Summer” tour. They guarantee to showcase a hybrid of “alternative sound and good vibes.”
311– pronounced “three-eleven”, was formed way back in 1998. The band has managed to achieve both commercial and critical success. They have a long-string of best-selling albums, propelled by radio hit charting singles that filled the airwaves non-stop. Some of their top-selling albums include: “Music” in 1992, “Grassroots” in 1993, and 1995’s eponymously-titled album, otherwise known as “The Blue Album”, thrust into the Billboard 200, by the singles “All Mixed Up” and “Down” eventually selling over three million copies in the U.S.
Alt-rock/ska group Dirty Heads are also due to release new music this summer, working with four-time Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb for their seventh studio album. Their most recent 2017 album release –SWIM TEAM, includes the lead single “So Glad You Made It” featuring Nick Hexum, plus strong follow-up singles“Celebrate,” and “Visions.” In 2014 Dirty Heads took the No. 1 spot on Billboard‘s Alternative Albums chart with "Sound of Change", featuring the lead single “My Sweet Summer.” They are currently riding high up radio charts and digital streams with this year's single release of the track “Listen To Me.”
